描述Terbinafine hydrochloride (TBH), belonging to the allylamine class, is mainly used for treatment of onychomycosis^[3]. Terbinafine (Hydrochioride) is a new powerful antifungal agent indicated for both oral and topical treatment of mycosessince. It is highly effective in the treatment of determatomycoses^[4]. Terbinafine is a potent non-competitive inhibitor of squalene epoxidase from Candida with Ki of 30 nM. In contrast, inhibition of rat liver squalene epoxidase only occurs at higher drug concentrations (Ki = 77 mM), and is competitive with squalene^[5]. Meta-analysis of published studies of toenail onychomycosis showed that a continuous terbinafine regimen is generally significantly superior to a pulsed terbinafine regimen for mycological cure^[6]. Fractional CO2 laser treatment combined with terbinafine cream for 6 months was an effective and safe method for the treatment of onychomycosis^[7].
