Eletriptan (10, 30, 100, 300 and 1000 μg/kg; i.v.) reduces total carotid blood flow in anaesthetised pigs by selectively reducing carotid arteriovenous anastomotic blood flow and increasing nutrient blood flow within the carotid vascular bed.
