AC-186 is a selective non-steroidal estrogen receptor β (ERβ) agonist with EC50s of 6 nM and 5000 nM for ERβ and ERα, respectively. AC-186 shows gender selective neuroprotective effects in a male rat model of Parkinson's disease.
体内研究：
AC-186（10 mg/kg；皮下注射；一次）在帕金森病雄性大鼠模型中表现出性别选择性神经保护作用。Animal Model:Male Sprague-Dawley rats ( 225-250 g) induced through bilateral 6-hydroxydopamine lesions of the substantia nigra.
Dosage:10 mg/kg
Administration:s.c.; once
Result:Prevented motor, cognitive, and sensorimotor gating deficits and mitigated the loss of dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra, in males, but not in females.
