Amino acids equivalent to residues 19-36 and 19-29 of PKC-β can bound to phospholipid vesicles.Atypical zeta protein kinase C in the signaling pathway leading to chemoattractant-triggered actin assembly, integrin-dependent adhesion of blood leukocytes to vascular endothelium. Synthetic myristoylated peptides with Protein Kinase C (19-35) Peptide, the endogenous zeta protein kinase C pseudosubstrate region, block agonist-induced adhesion to fibrinogen, chemotaxis and F-actin accumulation.
