DNA topoisomerase II inhibitor 1 (compound 8ed) (0-10 μM; 48 h) shows cytotoxic activity with IC50s of 10.10, >10, 0.59, 4.20, >10, >10, 8.41 μM for HT-29, MDA-MB-231, MG-63, U87MG, PC3, HeLa, Vero cells, respectively.DNA topoisomerase II inhibitor 1 (0.5, 2 μM; 24 h) induces apoptosis and cell cycle arrest at sub G1 phase.DNA topoisomerase II inhibitor 1 (0.5, 2 μM) increases the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS).
