Piperonylic acid is a natural molecule bearing a methylenedioxy function that closely mimics the structure of trans-cinnamic acid. Piperonylic Acid is a selective, mechanism-based inactivator of the trans-cinnamate 4-Hydroxylase. Piperonylic acid has anticancer, antioxidant and antibacterial activities.
体内研究：
Piperonylic acid (20 μL of 10 μM per day, applied topically to wounds) 通过调节炎症和胶原沉积加速小鼠伤口愈合。Animal Model:4 weeks male C57BL6/J mice
Dosage:20 μL of 10 μM per day unitil the wound heals completely
Administration:applied topically to wounds
Result:Positively modulated EGFR expression in epidermal cells.Promoted the increase of IL-10, IL-6, MCP-1 and IGF-1 expression.

Piperonylic acid (10 mg/mL, 24 h) 对革兰氏阴性菌和革兰氏阳性菌都有抑制效果，其中 S. epidermidis 最敏感，MIC值为 78.12 mg/ml。Piperonylic acid (50/100 μM, 24 h) 通过激活EGFR信号通路，最终促进 HaCaT 细胞生长和存活，恢复 UV 诱导的细胞损伤后的细胞活力。Piperonylic acid (20-300 μg/mL, 60 min) 具有抗氧化活性，可抑制 β-Carotene (HY-N0411) 的氧化。
