生物活性：
3,4,5-Trimethoxycinnamic acid is a phenylpropanoid isolated from the roots of Polygala tenuifoliaWILLD, with anti-stress effect, prolonging the sleeping time in animals. 3,4,5-Trimethoxycinnamic acid increases expression of GAD65 and γ-subunit of GABAA receptor, but shows no effect on the amounts of α-, β-subunits.
体内研究：
3,4,5-Trimethoxycinnamic acid (25-100 mg/kg，ip) 具有镇静作用，可延长大鼠的睡眠时间。 3,4,5-Trimethoxycinnamic acid (10 mg/kg，po) 显著降低小鼠的运动能力。
体外研究：
3,4,5-Trimethoxycinnamic acid (10 μg/mL) 增加 GAD65 和 GABAA 受体的 γ-亚基的表达，但对 α-、β-亚基的量没有影响。
