生物活性：
Cefaclor is a well-absorbed orally active cephalosporin antibiotic. Cefaclor can specifically bind to specific for penicillin-binding protein 3 (PBP3). Cefaclor can be used for the research of depression and kinds of infections caused by bacteria, such as respiratory tract infections, bacterial bronchitis, pharyngitis and skin infections.
体内研究：
Cefaclor (200 mg/kg/day, p.o. once a day for 5 days) 引起小鼠肠道菌群失调，以及小鼠的焦虑和抑郁样行为。这些症状可通过氟西汀 (HY-B0102) 或迷走神经切断术减轻。Animal Model:C57BL/6J mice (male, 5 weeks old)
Dosage:200 mg/kg/day, once a day for 5 days.
Administration:p.o.
Result:Significantly decreased serotonin levels in the hippocampus and BDNF in mice.Cefaclor-induced gut dysbiosis caused anxiety and depression through the microbiota-gut-blood-brain and the microbiota-gut-vagus nerve-brain pathway.

Cefaclor (0-500 μg/mL, 12-24 h) 对临床分离的 556 株革兰氏阳性和革兰氏阴性菌有明显体外抑菌活性，其中大部分菌株的 MIC 值低于 3.1 μg/mL，金黄色葡萄球菌的 MIC 值为 1 μg/mL。Cefaclor (60/500 μM, 30 min) 在过表达 hOAT1、hPepT1 和 hPepT2 的 MDCK 稳转细胞系中主要由 hPepT2 和 hPepT1 转运。Cefaclor (0.16 mg/mL, 30 min) 可通过直接激活嗜碱性粒细胞和肥大细胞来诱发过敏反应。
