Oxeladin citrate is an orally active and brain-penetrant cough suppressant as well as a selective sigma 1 receptor agonist (Ki = 25 nM). Oxeladin can be used for pulmonary diseases and stroke research.
体内研究：
Oxeladin (135 mg/kg/d, 口服 11 d) 可降低大鼠卒中亚急性期梗死扩大的程度.Animal Model:Middle cerebral artery occlusion model rats
Dosage:135 mg/kg/day
Administration:MCAO for 2 d, then Oral gavage (p.o.) for 11 d
Result:Significantly improved neurological function on days 3, 7, and 14 following MCAO, decreased final extent of infarct after 14 days. Increased the amount of mature brain-derived neurotrophic factor in the cerebral cortex 2, 6, and 24 h after single oral dose.
体外研究：
Oxeladin (10 μM, 24 h) 促进 MN9D 神经元细胞中 S1R 介导的脑源性神经营养因子分泌。
