Squalene (Super Squalene) is an intermediate product in the synthesis of cholesterol, and shows several pharmacological properties such as hypolipidemic, hepatoprotective, antiatherosclerotic, cardioprotective, antioxidant, and antitumour activity.
体内研究：
Squalene（0.25-1 g/kg；饲喂饲料；饮食持续 11 周）可促进 HDL- 胆固醇和对氧磷酶 1 的变化，并降低脂蛋白中的活性氧和血浆丙二醛水平。Animal Model:Male mouse models (wild-type, Apoa1- and Apoe- deficient)
Dosage:0.25 g/kg, 1 g/kg
Administration:Fed chow; diets for 11 weeks
Result:Increased high density lipoprotein-cholesterol and paraoxonase 1 and decreases oxidative stress in mice.
体外研究：
Squalene（12.5、50 和 200 μM；24 小时）以剂量依赖性方式对 MCF10A 上皮细胞产生影响：(a) 降低细胞内 ROS 水平，(b) 防止 H2O2 诱导的氧化损伤，(c) 保护 对抗 DNA 氧化损伤。
